Guidelines for Installing Inside Mounted Zebra or Roller Shades
We will take care of the necessary deductions based on your measurements. Do not make deductions alone or increase the width to compensate for deductions; we will handle that. The shade will be delivered with a 1/8 deduction in width to facilitate fitting into the window or door frame.
Depth Requirements
Ensure that your window has adequate depth for an inside mount. A minimum depth of 2 1/2″ is recommended for a secure mount and 4″ for a flush mount. Ensure that no objects or components, such as handles, obstruct the roller’s free movement when unfurling.
Width Measurement
Measure the width from the inner edge of the upper window frame.
• If the measurement is in increments of 1/16″ or 1/32″, round down to the nearest 1/8″. For example, if the smallest measurement is 36 11/16″, round down to 36 5/8″. If it’s 36 1/8 “, no rounding down is necessary.
• The rounded-down measurement is the width you should specify when purchasing.

Height Measurement
If your window does not have a window sill:
Measure the window’s height from top to bottom at three locations: left, middle, and right.
• Use the largest of the three measurements and add a minimum of four inches (2″ at the top and 2″ at the bottom) to ensure complete coverage. This ensures the shade fully covers the entire window opening.
If your window has a window sill:
Measure the window’s height from top to bottom at three locations: left, middle, and right.
• Use the shortest of the three measurements and add 2″ at the top only; this ensures the bottom rail of the shade rests precisely on the window sill without extending beyond it.

Guidelines for Installing Outside Mounted Zebra or Roller Shades
As exterior-mounted window coverings span the entire opening and window frame, additional considerations are necessary when determining the correct size. For exterior mounts, the shades are precisely crafted with only a 1/8 deduction in width based on the measurements you provide when placing the order.
Flat Surface Requirements
• Ensure you have a minimum of 2″ flat space to mount your Zebra or Roller Shades.
Width Measurement
Width Measurement
• Measure the window width at the top of the window frame.
• Add five inches (2 1/2″ on each side) to the measurement to ensure complete coverage.
• The adjusted width is what you should specify when making your purchase. For example, if the width before adjustment was 52″, by adding the minimum coverage of 5″, the final width you should use to order your shade is 57″.

Height Measurement
• Measure the window’s height from top to bottom at three locations: left, middle, and right.
• Use the largest of the three measurements and add a minimum of four inches (2″ additional at the top and 2″ at the bottom) to ensure complete coverage.
• The adjusted height is what you should specify when purchasing, including the two additional inches added at the top and bottom.
